Jehovanie Robert, PhD
Clinical Psychologist
Jehovanie Robert is a clinical psychologist and Massachusetts resident. She completed her undergraduate studies at Salem State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. After spending several years working in the field of maternity and participating in community health care, she was accepted into the Clinical Psychology doctorate program at William James College. She graduated from this program with a concentration in African and Caribbean mental health.
Prior to joining the team at South County Psychiatry, she spent time working at Lynn Community Health Center, The Women and Infants Hospital, HRI Hospital, Samaritans Hope, Boston Arts Academy, and Eliot Community Health Services. Her broad range of clinical experience encompasses psychotherapy in schools, outpatient clinics, and partial hospitalization programs. She is passionate about working with adults who are coping with psychiatric conditions and employs a mind and body approach to healing using evidence-based techniques.
Common types of psychiatric issues include anxiety, depression, trauma, stress management, suicidality, and adjusting to life changes such as motherhood or transitioning into adulthood. Jehovanie also enjoys facilitating group therapy and family therapy. She is zealous about fusing her biology background and psychology background to provide holistic care.
When Jehovanie isn’t working, she enjoys nature, laughing, taking walks, exploring new cities, and being social.
