Theresa Morgan, PhD
Licensed Psychologist
Theresa Morgan Ph.D. came to Rhode Island to complete her pre- and post-doctoral training at Brown University. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Iowa, and holds an additional Masters in Learning and Behavior from the University of Wales Swansea. After finishing her training, Dr. Morgan remained in Rhode Island working in training and hospital-based settings including at Rhode Island Hospital and Butler Hospital. She is currently affiliated with the training programs at both Brown University and the University of Rhode Island, and is committed to providing supervision and training to improve mental health access locally in RI and surrounding states.
Dr. Morgan specializes in providing short-term treatment in intensive outpatient and partial hospital settings. She has experience treating many of the mental health struggles that face our community, including anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, personality disorders, and navigating stressful life events. She came to South County Psychiatry to develop a high quality, personalized, intensive outpatient program (IOP) that allows people to receive the care they need without having to leave their homes or families to do so.
Dr. Morgan is seeing patients at South County Psychiatry through the Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and is not taking outpatients at this time.
When she is not working, Dr. Morgan enjoys spending time with her friends and family, including her spouse and two young children. She is an avid reader and gardening enthusiast, and loves being outdoors whenever possible.
